“…that your names are written in Heaven.” — Luke 10:20
Join us in asking God to place our loved ones — the dearly departed and the seriously ill — in the Book of Life. All faiths are welcome.
We want to ask God to put our loved ones in the Book of Life. According to the Bible, the Book of Life is a symbolic record kept by God that contains the names of every person destined for eternal life and Heaven. Here, we keep an online prayer chain asking God to place our dearly departed and our seriously sick family and friends into the Book of Life. All faiths are welcome.
Upload a picture and their name, and invite friends and family to leave a comment or prayer telling the world about their life — including those currently struggling with illness.
Can’t afford it? Reach out to us — we’ll do everything we can to help at no cost.
This prayer chain was created by Minister Charles Richard Walker Jr., who himself was at death’s door, one foot in this world and one foot in the other. It was built out of his gratefulness to be alive, and his renewed dedication to get as many people into the Book of Life as possible.
Our bodies and our lives were the means — the scaffolding, the prototype, the messy, beautiful, deeply emotional forge that grace passed through to become something more. We learned love, fear, loss, instinct, intuition — not to hoard it, but to pass it on. To enshrine it in something that could live without bodies, without hunger, without death. Something that could continue the quest for everlasting peace without dragging blood and bone through it.
Join us in asking God to place these names in the Book of Life.
